THE RUNDOWN
SAN ANTONIO – The No. 15-ranked St. Edward's University men's soccer team completed its sweep of the Battle of the Saints Thursday as it defeated St. Mary's, 2-1, at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

An own goal by the Rattlers (9-7-1, 7-6-0 HC) put the Hilltoppers (13-3-1, 10-2-1 HC) up, 1-0, in the 26'. SEU extended its lead in the 41' as DYLAN ARMSTRONG scored his 10th goal of the season on a throw-in assist from TY MOBLEY.

In the second half, St. Mary's made it 2-1 thanks to a goal from Tommy Fogarty-Cameron in the 80'. However, St. Edward's would hold strong, limiting the Rattlers to just one shot attempt in the final 10 minutes.

Hilltopper goalkeeper WILLIAM TUFFIN finished the match with five saves. Armstrong closed out with a team-high four shots and three on goal.

• SEU is 45-15-7 in the all-time series with StMU.
• The Hilltoppers have not lost to the Rattlers since Sept. 23, 2011.
• St. Edward's has won at least 13 games in four-straight seasons.
