THE RUNDOWN
DALLAS – Senior SAMUEL JACKSON scored his first goal of the season Saturday as the No. 15-ranked St. Edward's University men's soccer team defeated Dallas Baptist, 1-0, at Patriot Soccer Field.

Jackson's tally came in the 6', putting the Hilltoppers (9-2-1, 6-1-1 HC) ahead, 1-0. JOHN-MATHEW BLAY-TOFEY dribbled across the 18-yard box and touched the ball to Jackson near the center of the field. Jackson one-timed the ball into the back of the net for the score.

SEU's defense limited Dallas Baptist (6-5-1, 3-4-1 HC) to just two shots in the first half and five in the second period. Hilltopper goalkeeper WILLIAM TUFFIN recorded one save on the way to his fifth shutout of the season.
