2016 (JUNIOR):
• Appeared in and started nine matches
• Scored goals against Fort Lewis (9/9) and Rogers State (9/29)
• Recorded three assists including two against Colorado Mines (9/4)
• Ranked fifth on the team in shots (25) and shots on goal (11) despite an injury-shortened season
 
2015 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all 20 matches, making one start and logging 1,069 minutes of action…led the team with nine goals to go along with his five assists…he also tied for the team lead with 23 points…three of his goals were game-winners…had two goals and an assist against Eastern New Mexico (9/27), which included the game-winner…also had two goals versus Dallas Baptist (10/14) which also included the game-winner.
 
2014 (FRESHMAN) Appeared in 19 matches with nine starts totaling 1,040 minutes of work…scored five goals and dished out three assists…tallied 34 shots with 17 of them on goal…scored three goals in the first four matches of the season, including the game-winning goal at Fort Lewis (9/7)…scored a goal in the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship match versus Newman (11/9).
 
PREP: Lettered at The Woodlands High School where he was named first-team all-state, first-team all-county, first-team all-district, and offensive most valuable player for the district and county his senior season…helped lead his team to the regional semifinals his senior season.
 
PERSONAL: Jose Pablo Covarrubias was born on Dec. 2, 1995…son of Jose Covarrubias and Julieta Moreno…has one sibling: Paulina (17)…majoring in business administration.
