THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas – Sophomore midfielder PARKER FYFE notched two goals Saturday as the No. 23-ranked St. Edward's University men's soccer team defeated St. Mary's, 6-1, in the Battle of the Saints at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

Both offenses started fast and furious with four goals in the first 16 minutes of play. PABLO COVARRUBIAS struck first for SEU in the 8' and Fyfe followed with his first goal of the game in the 12'. St. Mary's kept it rolling in the 15' with their only tally of the match. Fyfe came back in the 16' to make it 3-1, Hilltoppers.

SEU's defense limited the Rattlers to zero shots on goal the rest of the half. Junior DYLAN ARMSTRONG made it 4-1 in the 29' to cap the first-half scoring.

St. Edward's ended the game in similar fashion, scoring two goals in the final four minutes of play. JULIAN SANCHEZ made it 5-1 in the 87', and redshirt freshman BRANDON RANGEL finished it off with a goal in the 89'.

• Saturday was the Hilltoppers' largest margin of victory in the Battle of the Saints since 1987.
• The Hilltoppers' six goals are tied for fifth-most in a game since 2012.
• SEU's seven assists are tied for second-most in a match since 2012.
