THEY SAID IT
SEU Head Coach Mary DeJute on a Saturday's wins …
"We started off a little slow [against Texas A&M International], but we got it right back on track. It was nice to see them fight back. We've done that in the past, so it was nice to see them do it again. This five-set win [over Henderson State], again they came out [and] we did our job. I had a lot of kids that were contributing offensively. It wasn't anything that was really going wrong. We did have a lot of unforced errors, however, the offense was working, setters ran the system very, very well. We didn't block very well today, I'm not sure why, but our timing is a little off, so that's definitely something we will be working on going forward. But, overall, I was extremely thrilled with their effort. They definitely came out and did what they need to do."
SEU Junior Libero
MORGAN BECKHAM on Saturday's wins …
"It was really good to start 2-0 in conference this morning, it really gave us a lot of confidence going into our tough matches next week. And, this last game, going to five sets, it was really good seeing us all come together at the end and just pull it out, no matter what."
