AUSTIN, Texas — The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced that St. Edward's University joined 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams that earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon says. "We are grateful for the dedication of coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
This is the 11th consecutive season and 20th overall that the Hilltoppers have earned the award, which dates back to 1992. St. Edward's volleyball posted a 3.69 Team GPA this year with 13 student-athletes on the spring LSC Honor Roll.
