THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 4-ranked St. Edward's University women's soccer team hosted the Battle of the Saints Thursday and fought St. Mary's to a 1-1, double-overtime draw at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

The Hilltoppers (6-0-3, 4-0-2 HC) took a 1-0 lead early on a goal from junior SABRINA CONE. In the 6', KELLY ANDRUS teed up a corner kick that found the head of Cone, and she directed the ball to the near post.

St. Mary's (6-3-1, 3-2-1 HC) scored the equalizer in the 53' on a breakaway – the first goal surrendered by SEU this season. Despite nine shots from St. Edward's in the final 37 minutes of regulation, the game would head to overtime.

The Hilltoppers out shot the Rattlers 5-3 through both overtimes but could not find the net. SEU goalkeeper OCOEE WILSON made three saves to preserve the draw, all coming in overtime.
