THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas –
Sophomore PARKER FYFE scored his third goal of the season Saturday as the No. 11-ranked St. Edward's University men's soccer team battled Newman to a 1-1 draw in double overtime at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

Fyfe's goal came in the 81', giving the Hilltoppers (8-1-1, 5-0-1 HC) a 1-0 lead. The strike was a header that came off of a cross from TY MOBLEY thanks to pass from his brother GRANT MOBLEY.

However, Newman (2-6-2, 0-5-1 HC) found the equalizer in the 84' off of a powerful shot from Ed Jabbari.

In overtime, SEU fired off six shots with two on goal, including a near game-winner from DYLAN ARMSTRONG that was stuffed by the Jets' goalkeeper. NU managed three shots of their own over both overtime periods, but none were on target.

St. Edward's goalkeeper WILLIAM TUFFIN made four saves in the match.

TOP QUOTE
Head Coach Brian Young on the draw…
"We had a lot of chances including Dylan's (Armstrong) opportunity in overtime. Usually he finishes those, but we just didn't get lucky today. We also hit the post multiple times and its one of those things where you have to finish those to win the game. A draw doesn't kill us but every point is valuable and we dropped two points today."
