Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ODESSA, Texas - The St. Edward's Women's Tennis team was impressive on Saturday, defeating Western New Mexico and Colorado State - Pueblo 7-0, 7-0 Saturday. 

MATCH 1: SEU 7 - CSUP 0

St. Edward's jumped out to 1-0 lead after dominating doubles. LAURA GALVAN and FANNI NOVAK did not drop a set in their #2 doubles match-up, winning 6-0 over Megilligan/Ambrose while KATE MALAZONIA and Elise Guillen quickly followed suit at #1 doubles, winning 6-2 over Matthews/Hamilton. 

LOLI PERIM won her singles match 6-0, 6-0 to start the Hilltoppers off on the right foot in singles play and Novak took down Ambrose 6-0, 6-1 at #5 singles. BETH HAYWARD's 6-3, 6-1 win at #1 singles secured the team win for SEU, but they did not stop there. Paolo Carpio and VALENTINA MARTINEZ both won their matches to complete the sweep. 

MATCH 2: SEU 7 - WNMU 0 

The Hilltoppers rode the momentum into their match against Western New Mexico. Carpio/Perim made quick work of their #2 doubles match 6-1 as did Carpio/Perim to put St. Edward's up 1-0. 

Guillen started the singles wins at #3, winning 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 and Malazonia downed Tozzi 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles. LAURA GALVAN won at #2 singles 1-6, 6-4, 6-0 to hand SEU the win. Perim (#5) and Novak (#6) both started their singles matches with 6-0 wins in the first set. Novak went on to win her second set 6-2 while Perim won 7-6 (1). 

With the pair of wins the Hilltoppers improve to 4-1 on the season. They close the weekend against UT Permian Basin on Sunday at 9 am.
