Box Score SAN ANGELO, Texas – St. Edward's continues to dominate opponents, winning their fourth straight match with a 6-1 win over Oklahoma Baptist to improve to 6-1 on the season.
SEU started on a high note as
PAO CARPIO and
LOLI PERIM flew by Charvat/Johnson at #3 doubles, winning 6-0.
BETH HAYWARD and
VALENTINA MARTINEZ teamed up at #1 doubles, securing the point for the Hilltoppers with a thrilling 7-6 (4) win.
Perim rode the high into her singles match, downing Charvat 6-2, 6-0 in #6 singles while
LAURA GALVAN (#3) and Martinez (#4) followed suit with a pair of 6-2, 6-1 wins to put the team win in SEU's grasp early.
Malazonia easily handled Walsh at #2 singles, winning 6-1, 6-4 while Carpio secured the sixth point with a 7-5, 6-3 win at #5 singles to close the match.
SEU returns to action on Saturday, facing Central Oklahoma University at 11 am.
