GEORGETOWN – The St. Edward's women's tennis team competed at the Southwestern Quad over the weekend. The Hilltoppers ended the two-day event with 18 victories, including 11 on the singles courts.

NOTES
- KYLEE SHANNON and CAMILA BAEZA both went undefeated in singles play, each netting a 3-0 mark.
- Baeza and Shannon also blanked their only doubles opponent, 8-0.
- LOLI PERIM posted a 2-1 record in singles play.
- Perim and LARA SCHMID combined for 2-1 mark in doubles action at the No. 1 line.
- KATE MALAZONIA and ZOE DUFF teamed up for the first time and netted a 3-0 record.

"The team continued to improve on the court this weekend. I was really pleased with our fight, as we had several comebacks from being a set down, which I think is a good sign this early. The days are long in these tournaments, and I thought we did a good job of keeping the energy up even when the tanks were low. The biggest positive out of the weekend was our doubles performances. We showed some drastic improvements in that area and I think are definitely on the right track to getting some good understanding of the style we want to play, as well as some good chemistry amongst different pairs."
