WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The #7 ranked St. Edward's men's basketball team posted their seventh straight win to improve to 13-1 on the year and 7-1 in Lone Star Conference play.
The first eight minutes were back and forth but SEU was able to close the half on a run and led by 22, 53-31, at the break.
MSU battled early in the second half, but St. Edward's was able to go ahead by 27, 68-41, on back-to-back dunks by
JAKE KRAFKA and
ASHTON SPEARS.
SEU was never threatened in the second half and was able to cruise to the win while shooting 48.2 percent from the floor while holding MSU to 36.2 %.
COREY SHERVILL continues his dominating play, posting 18 points on 7-13 shooting, 3-6 from three-point range.
ASHTON SPEARS added 17 points and
DORIAN LOPEZ 16 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
JAKE KRAFKA added 14 points.
SEU remains on the road to face Cameron on Saturday, January 11 at 4 pm.
