First half goals lead to SEU loss

Box Score LUBBOCK, Texas – Lubbock Christian scored two goals in the first half and was able to tighten up their defense with the lead to hand St. Edward's a 2-0 loss Wednesday.
 
LCU was able to get on the board first, scoring in the 18th minute and added another goal in the 31st minute to take a 2-0 lead.  The Hilltoppers had their looks throughout the frame including a rocket by ASHLEY WILSON just before the half that was saved.
 
SEU rocketed off shots to open the second half, but the Chaps seemed to have the answer, holding the Hilltoppers off the scoreboard.
 
St. Edward's recorded 10 shots, four on frame, in the loss while allowing 12. Wilson posted three shots, two on frame, to lead SEU offensively. MEGHAN DUNNING recorded four saves in the loss in goal.
 
The Hilltoppers drop to 1-4 on the year and 1-2 in Lone Star Conference play. They return to action on Wednesday, March 24, hosting St. Mary's at 4 pm.
