Baseball Ranked No. 12 in Latest NCBWA Rankings

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association released its latest NCAA Division II national rankings, moving St. Edward's baseball up to No. 12 from 19 after a successful 4-0 sweep of Texas Permian Basin.

St. Edward's is 16-5 with a 14-5 Lone Star Conference play record. The Hilltoppers are No. 11 in the nation in home runs (32) and home runs per game (1.52), leading the LSC in both categories. St. Edward's also ranks second in the conference in ERA (4.47), strikeouts-to-walk ratio (2.43), and hits allowed per nine innings (9.05). 

The Hilltoppers also rank second in the South Central Region by the NCBWA, moving up from third. St. Edward's will host (RV) Texas-Tyler for a four-game series this weekend, with the first game on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
