AUSTIN, Texas — St. Edward's men's basketball opens its 2026-27 season in Hawaii before returning to the Recreation and Athletics Center for a season featuring Homecoming, community celebrations, and a rivalry finale.
The Hilltoppers begin Oct. 30 against host Hawaii Pacific in Honolulu, tipping off at 3 p.m. Central. The bracket-style tournament continues Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, with opponents determined as the tournament progresses.
St. Edward's returns to the Hilltop to host St. Thomas on Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. in the second game of a Homecoming doubleheader. Fans can gather outside the RAC on André Lawn for the Homecoming Tailgate from noon to 3 p.m., featuring music, food, and fun family activities before the women's game at 3 p.m.
The Hilltoppers host Trinity on Nov. 9 before traveling to Grand Junction, Colorado, for the South Central Regional Crossover against Colorado Mesa on Nov. 13 and Colorado Christian on Nov. 14. St. Edward's then hosts Schreiner on Nov. 17, Texas A&M-San Antonio on Nov. 19 and Arlington Baptist on Nov. 23.
Lone Star Conference play begins at Western New Mexico on Dec. 3 and Sul Ross State on Dec. 5. The Hilltoppers welcome UT Tyler for their conference home opener Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The Dec. 10 doubleheader also features the Tiny Toppers Youth Clinic hosted by St. Edward's cheerleading. Children ages 4–14 will learn cheerleading fundamentals, chants, and sideline cheers, before joining the cheer team on the sideline and for a halftime performance during the men's game. Registration is $50 and includes an SEU Cheer T-shirt, pizza, and admission to the men's game. Families can register through the clinic sign-up form.
St. Edward's hosts New Mexico Highlands on Dec. 16 before closing its December schedule at Texas A&M International on Dec. 17.
The Welcome Back Bash brings food, community, and basketball together Jan. 21 as the Hilltoppers host Oklahoma Christian at 7:30 p.m., celebrating students' return for the spring semester.
On Feb. 6, St. Edward's partners with the Holy Cross Institute for Hoops and Holy Cross Night against Texas A&M-Kingsville at 3 p.m. Holy Cross schools from Austin and San Antonio are invited to enjoy rally towels, special programming, and Hilltoppers basketball.
The regular season concludes Feb. 27 against St. Mary's at 3 p.m., combining the Battle of the Saints with Senior Day. Fans can help celebrate the Hilltoppers' seniors while bringing their energy to the rivalry matchup.
