| By:
AUSTIN, Texas — ADRIANA RODRIGUEZ and St. Edward's distance group headlined a split week between the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Texas State Bobcat Invitational.

Rodriguez turned in one of the program's top efforts of the outdoor season, placing sixth in her first collegiate 10,000 meters with a time of 39:31.71 against a Division I heavy field. DELANEY LONG also represented the Hilltoppers at the University of Texas-hosted meet, placing ninth in the 1,500 to continue her steady presence in St. Edward's mid-distance lineup.

Over at Texas State, JENNA SAUNDERS and SAMMY SALAZAR both recorded career-best marks in the 1,500 meters, crossing in 4:53.74 and 4:58.27, respectively, as St. Edward's stacked competitive times in a deep field. BRIANNE VASQUEZ also made her collegiate debut in the 5,000 meters, adding another piece to the program's growing distance depth.

In the multis, KARLY WEYAND made program history at the Bobcat Invitational, becoming the first Hilltopper to compete in a heptathlon and placing 13th overall. Weyand's performance featured a sixth-place finish in both the 200 meters (25.57) and 800 meters (2:31.99), along with a 14th-place showing in the 100-meter hurdles (17.52). She added marks of 4.92 meters in the long jump (13th), 13.15 meters in the javelin (13th), and a 15th-place finish in the shot put to cap a milestone weekend for the program.

The Hilltoppers also showed growth across the sprints at the Bobcat Invitational, highlighted by multiple career-best performances. LAUREN SANCHEZ and MICHELLE HERNANDEZ each recorded personal bests in the 100 meters, with Sanchez leading the group in 23rd at 12.84, followed by ADDISON CERVANTEZ (25th, 12.90) and ISABELLA BICKHAM (28th, 12.96), while LORALAI NASH, Hernandez, and EBBIN MALLORY rounded out the field.

St. Edward's continued that momentum in the 200 meters, where JASMINE COOKE (24.99) and EMORY LIMUEL (25.49) both posted career-best times, with Bickham adding a 26.40 effort. Limuel also turned in a personal best in the 400 meters at 58.66, while SARAH-CATHERINE CHAPMAN followed at 1:00.21 as the Hilltoppers continued to build consistency.

Across both meets, the Hilltoppers blended breakthrough distance performances with growing sprint depth and a historic multis debut, continuing to build momentum as the outdoor season progresses.
