Junior (2015-16): Appeared in all 30 games, making 28 starts and amassing a team-high 939 minutes…led the Hilltoppers in scoring (14.4), field goals made (141), and free-throws made (137)…scored in double figures 22 times…broke a school record by making 21 free throws on his way to scoring a season-high 37 points in a victory over Newman (12/17)…scored 15 points to go along with a season-high seven assists in a victory over Panhandle State (2/20).

Sophomore (2014-15): Started in all 30 games for the Hilltoppers in 2014-15…led the team in scoring and ranked 10
th in the Heartland Conference with 418 points at a clip of 13.9 points per game…also ranked second on the team in assists with 2.4 a game, finishing the season with 71…scored a season-high 25 points against UT-Permian Basin (3/6/15) in the first round of the Heartland Conference Tournament…scored in double figures 25 times and in 11-consecutive games to end the season.

Freshman (2013-14): Saw action in 26 games, while starting 13 for the Hilltoppers in his freshman campaign…second on the team with a 13.0 scoring average…averaged 23.7 minutes of playing time per game…finished the season strong with 12 consecutive double figure games…scored 24 points in a thrilling victory over Newman (02/06/14) on the road and followed that up with 35 points against Panhandle State (02/08/14)…closed out the season scoring 22 points against UT-Permian Basin (02/27/14) and 21 points versus Lubbock Christian (03/01/14).

Prep: Lettered three seasons on the basketball team at Niagara Falls High School…named first-team all-league, and first-team all-
Niagara Gazette his senior season...averaged 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in his high school career…helped his team win the Section VI title his junior season.

Personal: Ramir Siwel Burton was born on Aug. 11, 1995…son of Michael Wartell and Goldie Burton of Niagara Falls, N.Y.…has four siblings: Micah Wartell (25), Jill Baskett (23), Mykayla Wartell (14), and Maryanna Wartell (10)…majoring in kinesiology…enjoys listening to music and playing video games…his biggest athletic thrill was winning the Section VI Championship in his junior season.
