Junior (2013-14): Recorded an overall singles record of 16-10 playing mostly in the second spot…had a doubles record of 11-14.

Sophomore (2012-13): Compiled a team best 18-7 singles record for the Hilltopper squad in her second season…defeated Sharon Clark of #6 Colin County CC (03/09), 6-0, 6-0…topped Laura Winter of #18 Cameron (04/13), 6-3, 6-2…another signature victory came against #28 rival St. Mary’s (03/28), 6-3, 3-6, 1-0…also recorded an 18-7 record during doubles play…defeated #6 Colin County with teammate Paige Rachel, 8-2…other signature victories included, #18 Cameron, #23 Drury, and #28 St. Mary’s.

Freshman (2011-12): During her first year on the Hilltop she had a overall singles record of 17-6 and a doubles record of 21-7…she was a perfect 6-0 during her conference matches…started off the year by beating her opponent against #19 Midwestern State 6-3, 6-0…she continued her streak by winning the following five matches…she won 11 of her first 12 singles matches…went 6-1 in her conference doubles matches.

Prep: Played her high school at Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium…in 2007-08 she placed second at the Future Challenge Tour and at the district championships…in 2008-09 she placed second at the Sport-Brodick Cup and third place indoor-open…won first place at the district championships and second place at the Eberstein-Cup in 2009-10.
Personal: Rafaela Anna-Maria Haegele was born on Aug. 17, 1992…daughter of Heinz and Maria Haegel of Germany…has one sibling: Alexander (17)…currently studying international business with hopes of becoming the CEO at BMW…enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and the piano…other interests include skiing, traveling, and reading…her biggest athletic thrill is the challenge she and her team face when they go for the win.
