Sophomore (2013-14): In her first season with the Hilltoppers she recorded a 14-5 singles record playing mostly in the number one spot…she finished with a 17-4 doubles record going for a perfect 6-0 record in Heartland Conference play.

Freshman (Oregon) (2012-13): Appeared in the No. 6 singles spot where she recorded an 0-3 mark in her first season of competition…partnered with Sofia Hager and Lana Buttner during doubles play…she spent the majority of the doubles season combing with Hager in the No. 3 spot where they recorded a 6-10 record…finished the season with a 7-11 doubles record…served on the Oregon Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Prep:  Played four seasons at the Austin Tennis Academy (ATA), while attending the ATA College Prep School program…she won several singles and doubles titles in G12’s, G14’s, G16’s and G18’s Texas SCMZ monthly tournaments…she has placed third in 2009, 2010, and second in 2011 at the annual Texas Sectional event, she also won the G16’s doubles sectional title in 2010…won the doubles title at the G16’s Muterspaw Las Vegas, Nev...National Doubles Title Montgomery, Ala., and the G18’s National Doubles Title Copper Bowl Tucson, Ariz…a part of the ATA Dream Team for four years which has won two National USTA Junior Team Tennis titles in the 18U advanced division…finished G18’s Top 100 USTA National Rankings and #4 in Texas…she also held an ITF Junior Ranking reaching a high of 1399.
Personal: Brooke Lindsey Hughes was born on June 22, 1994…daughter of Woody and Vicki Hughes of Austin, Texas…has one sibling: Tyler (25)…plans to study advertising at St. Edward’s with career hopes of working in public relations for a professional sports team…her grandfather played basketball for the great Adolf Rupp at Kentucky during the mid-1930’s…her hobbies include baking cupcakes, listening to country music, and four-wheeling.
