Junior (2012): Played in 14 matches while starting nine for the Hilltoppers…recorded 778 minutes for the year…part of a defense that tied the school record for goals-against average (0.71) and shutouts (10).
 
Sophomore (2011): Played in 17 matches while starting 11 for the Hilltoppers…recorded 708 minutes for the year…tallied five total points on two goals and an assist…started the year off with two goals in the first three matches, against McMurry and Lindenwood…the goal versus Lindenwood was the game-winner.
 
Freshman (2010): Appeared in six matches for the Hilltoppers while starting one of those games…recorded 180 minutes on the season…registered two total points on one goal…his only goal came (10/29/10) against St. Mary’s.
 
Club: Played for the Texas Football Club.
 
Prep: Played four years of soccer at Plano Senior High School…helped his team to a playoff appearance in each of his four years…was a part of the 2009 state championship team…graduated with honors…was a member of STAND and HOSA.
 
Personal: Daniel Arturo Pena was born on Sept. 2, 1991…son of Carlos and Idayuri Pena of Plano, Texas…has two siblings: Carlos (23) and Erick (11)…currently studying economics and finance at St. Edwards with a career goal of starting his own company…his hobby is soccer…scoring his first goal as a freshman is his biggest athletic thrill.
