Redshirt Sophomore (2012-13): Appeared and started in 11 games for the Hilltoppers…a midseason injury kept her sidelined for the rest of the season…she led St. Edward’s in the scoring category with just under 14 points a game…she scored in double figures in all but two games for the Hilltoppers…her best performance came in the conference opener against UA-Fort Smith (11/29/12) when scored 25 points…she was 9-19 from the field that game.
 
Redshirt Freshman (2011-12): Started in 19 games while seeing action in all 26 during her first year on the Hilltop…averaged 24.9 minutes per game…led the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game and blocks throughout the year with 18 total…contributed 3.5 rebounds per game and was second on the team with 71 defensive rebounds…during her first game as a Hilltopper she dropped 27 points and five rebounds, making 7-of-10 from the three-point line…later on that year she scored 32 points and hauled in nine rebounds against Panhandle State (01/19/12)…finished the year strong scoring in double figures in four of the last five contests.
 
Freshman (2010-11): Redshirted the season due to injury.
 
Prep: Played basketball for four years at Cedar Park High School…throughout her high school career she averaged 17 points per game…she set the record for three-point makes in a game with seven…her sophomore through senior seasons she was named to the all-district team and academic all-district team…during her junior season she was awarded the most valuable player in the district…her junior and senior seasons she earned a spot on the all-region squad...helped her team advance to the third round of the playoffs in her final three seasons…her freshman season she helped lead the team to a perfect 29-0 record…also lettered in track.
 
Personal: Madeline Margaret Wheeler was born on May 6, 1992…daughter of Larry and Seana Wheeler of Cedar Park, Texas…has one sibling: John (17)…currently studying mathematics at St. Edward’s with career hopes of becoming a teacher and a coach…enjoys sleeping, eating, and hanging out with her teammates, Sarah and Haley…has dreams of having the ability to perform a 360 dunk on her opponents.
