Junior (2011-12): Played 26 total rounds in her third season on the Hilltop…helped her team win four tournaments on the year…finished in the top five individually at the Lady Rattler Roundup, St. Edward’s Invitational, and at the Heartland Conference Tournament…finished 22^nd overall at the NCAA West Super Regional.
 
Sophomore (2010-11): Played a total of 31 rounds…shot a 71 during the second round of the Heartland Conference championship…that score was her second lowest of the year and helped her team capture the Heartland Conference Championship…also finished as the individual Heartland Conference Championship shooting a +4 on the tournament and winning on the first playoff hole…other top finishes of the year included a third place finish at the UCO/Mahogany Golf Classic and a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division II West Regional.
 
Freshman (2009-10): Made an immediate impact by playing 24 total rounds…she posted a score of 73 at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, which was the third lowest on the team all year…her best finish came at the Heartland Conference Tournament when she posted a score of 73 and 76 for a third place finish…helped the Hilltoppers place 14^th at the NCAA Division II Women’s Super Regional.
 
Prep: Played her high school golf at Universidad del Valle de Mexico…was on the golf team for four years and helped her team win the regional championship all four seasons…also lettered in soccer during high school.
 
Personal: Melisa Gonzalez Aguirre was born on August 8, 1991…daughter of Guillermo Gonzalez and Hilda Aguirre of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico…has two siblings: Veronica (33) and Guillermo (31)…currently studying environmental science at St. Edward’s…her biggest hobby is painting…her biggest athletic thrill was making it to the national tournament.
