·      Heartland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2012-13)
 
Junior (2012-13): Saw action in six rounds in her first season at St. Edward’s…her best finish came at the Dallas Baptist Classic when she shot a (75-79=154) and an 18^th place finish…finished the season with a win-loss record of 176-78.
 
Sophomore (McLennan CC (Texas)) (2011-12): Helped lead the Highlanders to a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament, while finishing tied for ninth individually…tied for first at the Houston Baptist Invitational…named second-team all-America.
 
Freshman (McLennan CC (Texas)) (2010-11): Was a third-team all-America selection…finished tied for 12th individually at the National Tournament…team finished first at the 2010 regional tournament and third at the national tournament…team won the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

Prep: Lettered four years at China Spring High School…helped her team to four-straight district championships (2007-2010)…won the regional championship in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and were region runner-ups in 2008-09 and 2009-10…team finished sixth overall in state in 2006-07, third in 2007-08, and second in 2009-10.
 
Personal: Alyssa Claire Smith is from Waco, Texas…daughter of Mark and Rachel Smith…has two siblings: Kelsey (23) and Mackenzie (14)…studying psychology at St. Edward’s…hobbies include listening to music, baking, art, singing, and playing the piano…she also enjoys traveling…she loves sports because she believes that it keeps you grounded and teaches responsibility…the result of winning and playing well feels great after the countless hours of work that has been put in.
