Junior (2012-13): Saw action in 31 games while starting in 21 in his first season on the Hilltop…averaged 22.3 minutes per contest…was second on the team, averaging 9.9 point per game…he added 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game…had a string of seven-consecutive games where he scored in double figures…his best effort came in the middle of his streak when he scored 21 points to lead the Hilltoppers to a nine-point victory over SW Oklahoma State (12/07/12).
 
Sophomore (Northeastern JC (Colo.)) (2011-12): Played in 29 games during his sophomore season…averaged 10.3 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field…averaged 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
 
Freshman (Northeastern JC (Colo.)) (2009-10): Appeared in 32 games…averaged 10.5 points per game while shooting a field goal percentage of 44 percent…averaged 4.0 rebounds per game as a freshman…was the team’s second leading scorer and led his team to the NAIA Region IX semifinals.
 
Prep: Played three years of basketball at Rice High School in Harlem, N.Y.…averaged 14.0 points and six rebounds per game for his high school career…during his senior season, he was named to the CHSAA All-First Team, made the Daily News Second-Team All-City, and earned a spot on the all-state third-team…played in the Jordan Brand Classic game…helped his team to win a city and state championship in 2008-09.

Personal: James Karin Stukes was born on Oct. 31, 1990…son of James Stukes and Cynthia Graham of Harlem, N.Y.…has five siblings: Lakeya (31), Tykiem (28), Diocolin (27), Marilyn (26), and Tamia (16)…is studying communications at St. Edward’s…enjoys playing basketball, listening to music, and having fun…his biggest athletic thrill is playing in the Jordan Classic game at Madison Square Garden.
