St. Edward's University Athletics

Sophomore (2015-16): Appeared in 26 games, while making 15 starts…averaged 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds…had a season-high 15 points in a victory over TAMU-International (3/3) in the Heartland Conference Tournament.
 
Freshman (2014-15): Appeared in four games for St. Edward’s…averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 points per contest…had a career-high seven points in a win over Paul Quinn (11/22/14).
 
Prep: Lettered three seasons at Glen Rose High School…was named first-team all-district her freshman through junior seasons…averaged a double-double in all three years…set the Glen Rose HS single season record for rebounds in a season with 376 during her junior season…scored her 1,000^th career point in her senior season…helped lead team to state playoffs all three seasons with the team reaching the area round twice…was also named academic all-district her junior season… also competes on the volleyball and track teams.

Personal: Kayla Nicole Goebel was born on April 4, 1996…daughter of Robert and Vicki Goebel of Glen Rose, Texas…has one brother, Wyatt…majoring in kinesiology and hopes to become a child life coach…enjoys playing basketball, shopping, going to the beach and helping young children to play sports…her biggest athletic thrill is beating Stephenville.
