Freshman (2015): Appeared in all 28 matches, while making 21 starts for a total of 91 sets…led the team in kills (224) and was fourth in digs (230)…tallied nine double-digit kill matches, 12 double-digit dig matches and six double-doubles on the season…tallied a season-high 21 kills against CSU-Pueblo (9/11)…registered a season-best 22 digs to go along with 15 kills on the road against Dallas Baptist (9/29).
 
Prep: A three-year letterwinner for head coach Marci Laracuente at Flower Mound High School…named first-team all-district her senior season while tallying 312 kills…also named second-team all-district her junior season after helping lead team to school’s first district title and third round of the state playoffs…named to all-tournament team at the Plano Tournament…member of the National Honor Society.
 
Personal: Mikayla Christine Grill was born August 28, 1996…daughter of Mark and Tara Grill…has two siblings: Makenzie and Kyle…plans to major in psychology at St. Edward’s with plans to go into the field of therapy…hobbies include: reading, hanging out with friends, and playing volleyball…coming back from a 11-22 deficit is Mikayla’s biggest athletic thrill.
