Junior (2012): Played a total of 40 sets in 16 total matches in her first year with the Hilltoppers…registered 46 kills and a 1.15 kills per set average…recorded 113 digs and finished the season with a 2.83 digs per set average…contributed 60.5 points on the season…her best performance was against rival St. Mary’s (9/8) when she played in five sets and tallied five kills.
 
Sophomore (Hillsborough CC (Fla.)) (2011): Earned offensive player of the year, first-team all-state, first-team all-conference and academic all-conference…also on all-tournament teams for the Florida State College Tournament of Champions and FCSAA State Tournaments…team concluded the season with a third overall ranking.
 
Club: Played for Illini Elite Volleyball Club.
 
Prep: Attended Normal Community High School…helped her volleyball squad to three-consecutive conference titles from 2006-08… was a member of the National honor Society, the French National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta, which is a honors society for mathematics…also was on the High Honor Roll for all four years of high school…won the 2010 Margaret H.J. Lampe Award.
 
Personal: Rebecca Schnabel was born on Oct. 10, 1991…daughter of Richard and Kelle Schnabel of Normal, Ill…has one sibling: Rachel (24)…plans to study kinesiology at St. Edward’s, and plans to be a physical therapist…enjoys drawing, painting, photography, and sewing during her spare time.
