GOODWELL, Okla. – The St. Edward's volleyball team bounced back to gain another conference win Saturday afternoon with a sweep of Panhandle State, 25-17, 25-7, and 25-8.
 
In the first set, St. Edward's (16-8, 9-3 HC) took an early led with Panhandle State (4-25) following closely behind. The Aggies looked to take over the set, but was unable to take the lead in the set. The Hilltoppers continued add to their lead as they went on the win the set, 25-17.
 
St. Edward's kept their momentum into the second set as they dominated over Panhandle State. The multiple hitters for the Hilltoppers kept the Aggies on guard, but Panhandle State was unable to maintain the offense of St. Edward's. The Hilltoppers went on the win the set, 25-7.
 
The third set was similar to the second as the Aggies weren't able to connect with long rallies to overcome St. Edward's. More strong offense and miscues from Panhandle State aided in the Hilltopper win, 25-8.
 
Various players for St. Edward's contributed to the scores as five Hilltoppers tallied at least five kills each with MEREDITH BARD leading the way with eight. MARY MCNAMARA connected for 19 assists, as MARY KOEHLER and MICHELLE HUNDT each tallied seven digs.
 
St. Edward's will return to the Hilltop Thursday as they continue conference play taking on TAMU-International at 7 p.m. at the Recreation and Convocation Center. Live video and stats will be available on the Hilltopper Athletic Website.
