AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's point guard STEPHANIE DEKKERS scored 14 points and dished out a career-high 12 assists to lead the Hilltoppers to a 77-64 victory over Oklahoma Christian Saturday afternoon at the Recreation and Convocation Center.

Oklahoma Christian (9-8) opened the game hot from outside, nailing its first four shots from downtown. That shooting gave the Eagles a 14-6 lead with 15:36 on the clock. Roz Hamilton hit two of the three-pointers and chipped in two free throws.

The game would stay tight and Oklahoma Christian would get a three-pointer from Hamilton with 1:39 left to go up two, 37-35. A jumper by MONICA JAMES and a driving layup from Kiel at the buzzer gave St. Edward's the halftime lead, 39-37.

In the second half, the game was close for the first 10 minutes of action. With 9:27 remaining, Katie O'Steen would split a pair of free throws to cut the Hilltopper lead to 55-53.
