· Heartland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll (Fall 2011)
Junior (2011-12): Saw action in 24 games as a junior for the Hilltoppers…was third overall on the team in scoring with 8.7 points per game…second on the team in 3-point field goals made with 22 for the season…her best game came against Saginaw Valley State (12/30/11) when she contributed 17 points…closed out the season strong scoring in double figures in six of the last eight games on the year.
Sophomore (2010-11): Appeared in 28 games making eight starts, averaging 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds…she led the team in three-point field goal percentage at .424, making 14-of-33 from behind the arc...earned the Oak Farms Academic Award.
Freshman (2009-10): Appeared in 27 games, while making five starts…she averaged 2.0 points and 0.9 rebounds per game.
Prep: Played basketball for Cy-Creek High School for four years…she earned first-team all-district and MVP of Cypress Creek High School…she was named to the all-tournament team for the McDonalds Texas Invitational.
Personal: Dawnielle Fi’an Kiel was born on Feb. 2, 1991…daughter of George and Debra Kiel of Cypress, Texas…has two siblings George (27) and Valarie (17)…currently studying kinesiology with career hopes of becoming a sports physical therapist…enjoys shopping, listening to music, hanging out with friends and family, and attending church…her biggest athletic thrill is the thrill of gameday.
