ODESSA, Texas – St. Edward's University Volleyball (7-19, 5-10) fell in three sets to UT-Permian Basin (6-17, 4-11) on Saturday in Heartland Conference play.
MIKAYLA PARKER led the team in kills for the second-straight game with six.
JULIA HARTLEY had a team-high 10 assists and
MORGAN BECKHAM produced 15 digs. A total of four block assists from
TABITHA ELDER highlighted the Hilltopper's presence at the net.
"This road trip has been a tough one for us," said head coach Mary DeJute. "Our offense has not produced and motivation has definitely been lacking. However, after all the obstacles we have overcome this year, I am confident that we can close out the season with a strong showing."
In game one the Hilltoppers hit a match-best .174 but could not come up with the win as UTPB took the game 25-23. The Falcon's momentum would carry into set two, resulting in a 25-16 loss for St. Edward's and in game three the home team would clinch the win with a 25-18 victory.
