AUSTIN, Texas- The St. Edward's Baseball team defeated UT-Permian Basin, 12-2, by run-rule Saturday afternoon at Lucian-Hamilton Field. The series went to St. Edward's, 2-1.
UT-Permian Basin (13-7, 4-2 HC) opened the game with a statement, scoring two runs in the top of the first. St. Edward's (17-7, 5-1 HC) answered with two runs of its own.

A.J. HERMANSON home. Olson would be the next to put a run on the board off a single from
KEVIN MAYO.
If the visitors had intentions of keeping the game close, they would be disappointed as the Hilltoppers went on an offensive streak. The home team put a combined nine runs on the board in two innings, stretching the lead to 11-2. Hermanson,

DAN BECKS captured the win in relief as he threw two hitless innings with three strikeouts, bringing his record to 1-0.
