GERVAIS, Ore. – Sophomore
RACHEL FREI led St. Edward's women's cross country to a seventh-place finish Saturday at the Wes Cook/George Fox Invite at Willamette Mission State Park.
Frei broke the program's 6,000-meter record by eight seconds as she finished eighth individually. The record was previously held by
KATY GILLIS (23:21, 2016).
HOW IT HAPPENED
HILLTOPPER NOTES
- All eight Hilltoppers set personal records in the 6,000-meter race.
- Goff and Nguyen both increased their personal best time by more than two minutes, while Cisneros, Villafranca, and Simmons improved by a combined margin of 3:38.
- Saturday's race was Kelly's first 6,000 meters of her career.

St. Edward's will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Heartland Conference Championships. The race will be hosted by Dallas Baptist in Mansfield, Texas, at the Mansfield Sports Complex. The women's 6,000-meter race is scheduled for 9 a.m.
