WICHITA FALLS, Texas – St. Edward's volleyball dropped its Saturday doubleheader to Texas A&M-Kingsville and Midwestern State inside D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Texas A&M-Kingsville (17-5) swept the Hilltoppers 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 21-25) in game one. Midwestern State (9-12) then swept St. Edward's 3-0 (14-25, 18-25, 14-25) in game two.
TABITHA ELDER led the St. Edward's (8-12) attack with 16 kills in two matches. On defense,
MORGAN BECKHAM had a 21-dig outing against the Javelinas, while
JULIA HARTLEY produced 16 digs against the Mustangs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Edward's dropped set one to Texas A&M-Kingsville 25-22 before the Javelinas used a 7-1 run to take set two 25-15
- A kill and block from Elder in set three made the score 23-21 before Kingsville clinched the final two points.
- Midwestern State controlled the second match from start to finish, winning 25-14, 25-18 and 25-14.
HILLTOPPER NOTES
- Saturday marks the first time this season that St. Edward's has allowed over .200 hitting in back-to-back matches.
- The Hilltoppers defeated Midwestern State earlier this season at the MSU Hampton INNvitational
- St. Edward's has now played six doubleheaders this season.

"We were out-hustled and out-worked, which is something I'm not proud of. It's hard to win when your offense isn't clicking. I was proud of our middles, but we need to be more efficient on offense. We seemed to lack confidence and a sense of urgency. However, I am confident we will bounce back before this Thursday."
