THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas – The St. Edward's men's tennis team snapped its four-match losing streak with a 6-3 win over Cameron Saturday at the Austin Tennis Academy. With the win, the Hilltoppers also snap a two-match skid vs. the Aggies in the all-time series and improves to 4-0 when playing in the state's capitol.
 
ANDRE MERCADO/ZAC ROBINSON took court No. 3, 8-1 for the Hilltoppers (12-7), but Cameron (3-8) answered with a win on the top court to tie the match. CHASE MOREHOUSE/DAVOR IVKOVIC defeated Vinicius Santos/Julen Gutierrez, 8-5 on court No. 2 and SEU went into singles play with a 2-1 match lead.
 
Mercado claimed his second win on the day with a straight set victory on singles flight No. 6, and after a CU win on the third court, SEU won the next three matches to clinch the victory.    
 
HIGHLIGHTS
• St. Edward's is 12-11 all-time vs. Cameron.
• CHASE MOREHOUSE recorded his 10^th doubles win of the season.
• ZAC ROBINSON logged his 20^th career doubles win (11^th this season).
• GABRIEL ZUNIGA recorded his 15^th career singles win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Julien Aubry-Damon.
• LUIS DIAZ improves to 5-0 vs. nationally ranked opponents after defeating No. 37 Vinicius Santos, 7-5, 6-4.
• MATEUS DE COL defeated Stefan Svicevic, 7-6, 6-1.

Head Coach Estevam Strecker on today's win…
"I am very pleased with the win, we surely needed it! I think we competed better than they did and that really was the difference. It was not a pretty match, but we played better they did and sometimes that is enough."
 
Strecker on the road ahead…
" We need to focus on getting healthy again and reset. It has been a very tough run, but I think we are getting the second wind on the season, so upwards and forwards."
