TEMPE, Ariz. – Four St. Edward's men's tennis student-athletes earned six All-America honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers' six honors were the most in NCAA Division II.
CHASE BARTLETT and
ANISH SRINIKETH were both honored as All-Americans for their performances in singles and doubles play, while
ABHI RAMIREDDY and
JESSE WIKSO received the award in doubles.
Bartlett, a senior from Frisco, posted a 12-2 record in singles competition during the 2019-20 season. He also logged a 10-4 mark on the doubles courts. Bartlett qualified for the ITA National Tournament last fall in singles play.
Sriniketh, a sophomore out of Katy, netted a 19-8 ledger in singles play and a 15-11 mark in doubles competition. He advanced to the semifinals of last fall's national tournament in singles.
Bartlett and Sriniketh teamed up to win all seven of their doubles matches during the spring season.
Meanwhile, Ramireddy, a freshman from Cypress, and Wikso, a freshman who hails from Austin, teamed up to reach the semifinals of the doubles draw at the national tournament.
Ramireddy was 11-9 overall in doubles play, while Wikso had a 12-7 record. When paired together last fall, the duo won every match leading up to the semifinals of the national tournament.
Walter Valarezo is the program's only other All-American, as he earned the award in 2007 from the ITA.
