WICHITA FALLS, Texas – St. Edward's went 10-2 in singles play on day one of the ITA Regional at MSU, advancing four on to the round of 16.
 
Five of the six Hilltoppers won their opening match to advance to the round of 32. Once there, #3 CHASE BARTLETT and #7 LUIS DIAZ Argente made quick work of their opponents. Bartlett won 6-0, 6-2 while Diaz Argente won 6-1, 6-2. Mateus Dellavachia Del Col nearly pulled out the upset over #8 Dillon Pineda of MSU, but was eventually defeated 7-6 (4), 6-2. ANISH SRINIKETH and LOGAN BUIGNET made their upsets a reality with wins over #5 Tscherne of MSUD 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4 and #13 Popovic of St. Mary's 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-2, respectively.
 
SEU's magic did not extended to doubles play, however, as the Hilltoppers dropped all three first round matches.
 
St. Edward's will look to continue their singles run on Saturday as they continue play at MSU.
