FULL RESULTS

WICHITA FALLS – The St. Edward's men's tennis team swept three of the four draws at the Division II ITA South Central Regional Championships over the weekend. ANISH SRINIKETH won the singles draw, while ABHI RAMIREDDY and JESSE WIKSO teamed up to win the doubles bracket. CAMERON GOLDSTEIN also rallied to win the consolation singles draw.

Sriniketh, the No. 2 overall seed, won all six of his singles tilts in straight sets, including a 6-3, 6-3 victory over the No. 1 seed, Midwestern State's Angel Palacios in the championship match. It marked the second consecutive regional title in singles by a Hilltopper, as CHASE BARTLETT defeated Sriniketh in the finals a year ago.

Ramireddy and Wikso, who were unseeded, went 5-0 to win the doubles bracket and toppled four seeded pairs. The duo defeated a team from St. Mary's in the championship, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (12-10).

Ramireddy, Sriniketh and Wikso will move on to compete in the ITA National Championship, which will take place Oct. 16-20 in Rome, Georgia.

NOTES
- With the six wins this weekend, ANISH SRINIKETH improved his singles record to 11-4 this fall.
- CHASE BARTLETT reached the singles draw semifinals, but dropped a three-set affair to top-seeded Angel Palacios.
- After dropping his opening round contest, CAMERON GOLDSTEIN won five matches to claim the consolation bracket.
- Goldstein was forced to defeat teammate LUIS DIAZ in the finals of the consolation draw.
- All three St. Edward's doubles teams reached the quarterfinals, while two advanced to the semifinals and one won the entire bracket.
- ABHI RAMIREDDY and JESSE WIKSO played together for the first time of the fall to win the doubles draw. The pair posted a 5-0 mark to advance to the national tournament as freshmen.
