AUSTIN – St. Edward's senior
MATEUS DE COL earned first-team Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 honors, it was announced on Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
A native of Caxias do sul, Brazil, de Col received the accolade for the second time in his career with a 3.85 GPA. He graduated last weekend from St. Edward's with a degree in economics and political science.
The 6-footer wrapped up his career with the Hilltoppers by amassing 54 singles victories and 48 doubles wins in dual-match play. He helped St. Edward's to three Heartland Conference championships and a trio of trips to the NCAA Division II Championship.
