AUSTIN – The St. Edward's men's tennis team announced its 2020 spring schedule on Wednesday. The Hilltoppers will play 26 matches this season, including seven at the Austin Tennis Academy.
St. Edward's will open the spring slate with an exhibition contest on Jan. 24 against the ATA Dream Team. A week later, the matches count with a doubleheader against Concordia Texas and Southwestern at home.
The Hilltoppers' challenging slate under sixth-year head coach Estevam Strecker includes eight tilts against teams that qualified for the NCAA Regionals a year ago, including four that also advanced to the NCAA Championship.
Strecker's squad also will compete in the Lone Star Conference for the first time. The league schedule includes eight matches for the back-to-back Heartland Conference champions.
