RICHARDSON – St. Edward's senior
CHASE BARTLETT has been named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
Bartlett led the 12th-ranked Hilltoppers to a 4-2 win over No. 22 Southeastern Oklahoma State last Saturday in Waco. The Frisco native secured a straight-sets win (6-3, 6-1) over the nation's 9th-ranked singles player, Manuel Pilotto, at the second spot.
Bartlett, who is ranked 24th in the country for his performance on the singles courts, is 4-1 this spring.
St. Edward's returns to action Saturday against Laredo CC. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Austin Tennis Academy.
