KINGSVILLE, Texas - After leading most of the game, Texas A&M-Kingsville scored four in the eighth and the game-winner in the ninth to hand St. Edward's a 7-6 loss Friday. 

After two scoreless innings, SEU broke the game open with a four run third inning thanks, in large part, to a three-run shot from CHASE COS. Kingsville got one run back to cut into the Hilltopper lead, but SEU added a pair of runs in the fourth to lead 6-1. 

TAMUK began to chip away at the lead, scoring one in the sixth before unloading for four in the eighth to tie the game. 

The Hilltoppers put runners at second and third with two outs but were unable to push the go-ahead run across the plate as the game rolled into the bottom of the ninth. 

TAMUK was able to take advantage of an SEU error and drove in the game winner in the bottom of the ninth. 

KYLER KERLIN led at the plate, going 2-3 while Cos was 2-5 with three RBIs.

St. Edward's falls to 11-16 on the year and 10-15 in Lone Star Conference play. The continue the series with the Javelinas on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 3 pm.
