th career victory, all at St. Edward's.
TAMIU came out swinging and posted a leadoff double, but starting pitcher
BLAKE HOLUB settled in to hold the game scoreless.
SEU showed signs of strong offense, but weren't able to score their first run until the third.
MORGAN ALLEN started the inning with a single and moved to second on a Dust Devil error. Rosenauer moved Allen to third and Cos brought him home to put the Hilltopper up 1-0.
With one out in the fourth, St. Edward's got runners at second and third with just one out and
DAVIS DREWEK and Allen teamed up to drive them home, pushing the Hilltopper lead to three, 3-0.
A Villareal homerun in the fifth gave the Dust Devils their only run of the game.
MATTHEW GILES got the run back for St. Edward's in the fifth, setting up the 4-1 victory.
Allen went 3-5 at the plate with one run and one RBI while Giles had a 2-3 afternoon with one RBI.
Holub earned the win, scattering six hits and allowing just one run with six strikeouts.
With the win, the Hilltoppers improve to 9-15 on the year and 8-14 in the Lone Star Conference. They return to action Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 1 pm.
