AUSTIN – The St. Edward's baseball team hosted their final regular season home contest of the season Monday, dropping game three of the series against #4 West Texas, 14-1 in seven innings.
West Texas returned to the Hilltop with their bats in tow and put up two runs in the opening frame and added four in the third.
After a scoreless fourth, West Texas pushed four runs across in the fifth to take a commanding 10-0 lead.
DAVIS DREWEK did all he could with a solo homerun, but the deficit was too steep as SEU fell.
TRENT ROSENAUER suffered the loss on the mound, allowing eight runs on nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 4.1 innings.
MORGAN ALLEN had another strong game at the plate, going 3-4 on the afternoon while Drewek ended the day going 2-3 with the lone SEU RBI.

The Hilltoppers fall to 13-19 on the year and 12-17 in the Lone Star Conference. They close the regular season on the road, facing UT Permian Basin for a three-game series beginning Friday at noon.
