LAWTON, Oklahoma - The St. Edward's baseball team lost the series finale to Cameron 9-5 to split their first away series of the season.

After two scoreless innings, the Hilltoppers drove in two runs in the top of the third to give SEU a 2-0 lead. Cullen Ainsworth singled up the middle to drive in the game's first run.Â

In the bottom of the fifth, the Aggies tied the game on a sacrifice fly and a fielder's choice. In the bottom of the sixth Cameron drove in seven runs on a single, bases-loaded walk, another single, and a grand slam to take a commanding 9-2 lead.  Â

In the seventh, CULLEN AINSWORTH picked up his fourth RBI's of the game as he doubled home two runs to make the score 9-4. Stacy Bailey scored the game's final run on a passed ball in the ninth, bringing the final score to 9-5.Â

SEU's pitchers gave up just three earned runs and struck out eight batters in the loss.

This weekend, SEU is back in action at home, taking on UT Permian Basin. Friday's first pitch is set for 1 pm. Â
