Hilltoppers Play Well but Come Up Short Against #15 Angelo State

After giving up a leadoff homerun to start the second inning, SHORT struck out the next two Rams and forced a fly ball. In the bottom half of the inning the Hilltoppers went down in order leaving the score 2-1.

The Rams would tie the score 2-2 in the top of the third and neither team would score again until the seventh inning.

In the bottom half of the inning, TURNER OLSON hit a leadoff single and CHASE COS hit a double down the right field line to plate OLSON and bring the Hilltoppers within one. After two strike outs, ALLEN hit a rocket, but a Sports Center worthy catch by the Ram's center fielder cut the Hilltopper rally short, giving Angelo State the 4-3 victory.
