AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's Athletics welcomes Sidney McIntosh to the Hilltop as its new assistant STUNT and cheerleading coach.
 
McIntosh is a Michigan native who moved to Texas after a distinguished collegiate career at Olivet College, where she cheered and was part of the first STUNT team at Olivet. As team captain, she led Olivet from last place at the NCA Nationals to fifth and the Division III runner-up at the STUNT Nationals in 2021. 
 
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Olivet College in 2021. 
 
"I'm so excited to join St. Edward's University and it feels like a dream come true to be back in the cheerleading world," McIntosh says. "St. Edward's is such a beautiful campus and offers so much support to their student-athletes. I'm excited to join this growing program and help build a championship team alongside [head coach] Sean Garland." 
 
St. Edward's reinstated its varsity cheer program for the 2022-23 academic year. STUNT will begin its inaugural season in the spring.
