AUSTIN, Texas — St. Edward's head men's basketball coach Andre Cook received national recognition from HoopDirt.com as its NCAA Division II National Coach of the Week after guiding the Hilltoppers to a 3-0 record last week, including a 73-70 win over No. 3-ranked DBU.
 
The Hilltoppers are off to a 9-0 start, including wins over DBU and No. 18-ranked Central Washington to open the season. 
 
St. Edward's leads the Lone Star Conference in field-goal percentage defense (36.9 percent), ranks third in assists per game (16.7), blocks per game (3.9), defensive rebounds per game (26.78), scoring defense (63.7), and scoring margin (18.8). The Hilltoppers open Conference play at home on Thursday, December 4, against Sul Ross State.
