St. Edward's Athletics announced men's basketball's
GAVINO RAMOS as its 2024-25 Men's Outstanding Senior Award winner during Tuesday night's awards ceremony and end-of-year banquet, the Goatspy Awards.
A St. Edward's University education in the Holy Cross tradition embodies academic excellence, diversity, collaboration, and a commitment to service to others. The Outstanding Senior Award goes to the male and female student-athletes who have best personified these traditions through academic excellence, teamwork, leadership, good sportsmanship, the courage to take risks, and community service opportunities.
Coaches nominated candidates, and a committee of administrators, sports information staff, and coaches voted on the winner.
Ramos is a three-year starter, a two-time All-LSC selection, and a 2024 LSC All-Academic Team selection. The senior point guard reached 1,302 career points and 429 career assists, ranking 16th and third in program history, respectively. Ramos is a two-time men's basketball team captain and led the Hilltoppers to the NCAA Tournament this season. Ramos also represents men's basketball on SAAC and serves on university committees.
