AUSTIN, Texas — The accolades continue to roll in for St. Edward's senior point forward BLAKE NIELSEN, who earned D2CCA All-Region Second Team honors.
Nielsen has been one of the Lone Star Conference's most complete players this season, averaging 18.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field. He leads the Hilltoppers in both scoring and assists and ranked third in the LSC in both categories, earning All-LSC First Team recognition.
The Australian forward has continued to climb the program record book throughout the season. Nielsen became St. Edward's all-time leader in assists with 473 and surpassed 1,000 career points, now sitting at 1,369 for his career to rank 13th in program history.
Nielsen has helped lead St. Edward's to a 24-8 record entering the NCAA Tournament, marking the program's highest win total since the 2019-20 season. The Hilltoppers earned the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Regional field and secured a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
